Implant treatment has continued to progress, with extensive research supporting its effectiveness since 1960. Dental implants are the most advanced procedure for replacing missing teeth and with our state-of-the-art technology and training, our clinic is able to offer a lifetime warranty on all implants placed.
At Radiant Smiles Dental Care, we understand the pain and frustration that can come from broken or missing teeth and dentures, and although our we do our best to save the tooth every time, this is not always an option. So instead, our clinic has begun to explore the advancements of dental implants, working closely with our dental team to get you smiling and feeling functional again.
Unlike dentures, which can easily move or break, dental implants are fixed into your bone through a series of minor stages. If you are wanting to replace all your teeth and find implants as an unrealistic financial option, we also offer all-on-4 Perth options where your dentures can be fixed to a number of implants, providing you with an affordable and stable solution.
The Dental Implant Phases:
The implant procedure is commonly completed over a series of phases. These are commonly broken into:
- The implant consultation
- The 3D scan – this is required to help the optimal location for your implant to be placed
- The implant is placed into the bone
This may also include extraction or bone placement. You will be given a local anesthetic so that you do not feel the pain during the procedure - After a minimum of 3 months, the area will be assessed to determine whether the bone has healed around the implant and to check whether it is stable enough to hold a final crown
- If it is stable enough, the dentist will take impressions and prepare the area for your new tooth
- The crown, or artificial tooth, is attached to the implant
Although our implant pricing is highly affordable in comparison to most dental clinics, we understand that it is not always a financially viable option for everyone. Therefore, our clinic has become affiliated with Zip Money so that we can offer our eligible patients, interest free payment plans when they need it.
If you or yourself know anyone considering dental implants or struggling with missing teeth, feel free to call us on (08) 9440 3654 to book in for a free, no obligation consultation with our affordable dentist in Albany.
Dental implants are both an aesthetic and functional alternative to dentures or bridges. They are carefully designed to feel just like your natural teeth, giving you a smile that restores your confidence and has you feeling like yourself again.
In addition, the titanium screw we place in your mouth also provides you with the full functionality of a normal tooth, meaning you can eat, bite and speak normally again without any complications.
Do You Need A Specialist Dental Implant Provider?
Our dental implant procedure is extremely thorough and works over a 3-stage procedure to ensure you are getting the best results possible.
After your consultation with the dentist, you are required to take a 3D scan of your mouth so that we can carefully plan for the implant placement according to your bone and nerve structure. Once received, the dentist will contact you with the technical feedback on your case and discuss any questions of concerns you may have regarding the procedure.
We then forward you a final treatment quote from your procedure, start to finish, so you are completely aware of all the treatment and pricing involved so there are no surprises along the way.
The 1st Stage of the Dental Implants Procedure
Once you are ready, we will then proceed with the first stage of your implant treatment; the implant placement. During this stage, the dentist will place the implant into your mouth, carefully following the surgical guide which has been specifically planned for your case.
During this stage, we also offer a range of elite services designed to enhance the overall outcome of your dental implant treatment. These include bone osseous grafting, sinus augmentation and 24-hour temporary crowns. This will only be included if required. Once the implant is placed, the current levels of stability are assessed, and we estimate the time required before your 2nd stage surgery.
During this stage we will provide you with antibiotics to fights against any infection along with an oral sedative, IV sedation and painkillers if necessary.
The 2nd Stage of the Dental Implants Procedure
After a minimum of 3 months, the dentist will see you again for your 2nd stage surgery. This is a shorter, less invasive surgery than your implant placement but is required to allow the dentist to assess the stability of your implant.
The dentist will take a reading, showing the levels of integration between the bone and the implant, allowing to determine whether the implant is strong enough to hold the final crown. Should you need slightly longer for the implant to heal, we will schedule you in again for the surgery and no additional cost.
However, if the implant has integrated successfully, and you are ready to proceed with the final crown and abutment, we will schedule you in for the final impressions.
The Final Stage of the Dental Implants Procedure
The final stage of the implant procedure, the crown and abutment, is split into two visits; the impressions and the fitting. In your initial visit, the dentist will prepare the implant site and take impressions of your mouth.
These impressions are then sent to our 5-star laboratory located in Malaga. The lab works closely with our clinic to create a crown specific to the size, shape and colour you desire. The lab will carefully prepare your final crown over a 1-2 week period (may require longer during busy periods).
Once the crown is complete, we will see you for a final visit where the crown and abutment are attached to the implant screw. As this stage would conclude your implant treatment, the clinic will then provide you with the final instructions for maintaining your implant condition and warranty over the following years, including continuous oral hygiene and 6 monthly reviews to assess the condition of your implant.
As our clinic is open 8am – late, 7 days a week, we are able to provide you with constant support and advice throughout the procedure whether necessary. If you have any further questions, feel free to contact us directly on (08) 9440 3654.
